Patients meet with a healthcare provider at a Qualified Treatment Center to discuss genetic medicine and confirm eligibility. Those who choose to proceed then enroll in treatment and begin any required medical preparation.
Our treatments are made specifically for an individual patient using their own stem cells. These cells are collected at one of our Qualified Treatment Centers through mobilization and apheresis, after which they are carefully packaged and shipped to our manufacturing facility.
Once received at the manufacturing facility, the patient’s cells are modified outside the body to restore healthy function. Once complete, the treatment is ready and is shipped back to the Qualified Treatment Center. Learn more about this process here.
Once the cells arrive at the treatment center, patients undergo conditioning to prepare to receive the newly functional cells, followed by a one-time infusion of the treatment.
Following the treatment, patients are monitored under medical supervision and then supported through long-term follow-up by their care team.
