Brian Riley
President & Chief Technical Officer
Brian C. Riley joined Genetix as President & Chief Technical Officer in June 2025, where he is responsible for manufacturing, quality, regulatory CMC, and technical development.
He has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with deep expertise across manufacturing, quality, regulatory CMC, and technical development. He has built and led organizations supporting products from early clinical development through global commercial supply, with strength in manufacturing strategy, global supply chain management, cost of goods optimization, and the design and execution of scalable operating models.
Prior to joining Genetix, Brian served at Beam Therapeutics, most recently as Chief Manufacturing Officer, where he led Technical Operations and CMC and served as executive sponsor for the company’s North Carolina manufacturing facility where he helped establish the manufacturing and supply strategy for Beam’s pipeline. Earlier in his career, Brian held senior leadership roles at Catalent Pharma Solutions, bioMérieux, Biogen, Amgen, and Diosynth Biotechnology, where he led manufacturing, quality, and operations organizations across a range of biologics and advanced therapy settings. Across his career, Brian has led manufacturing site selection, facility construction and qualification, supply chain buildout, organizational scaling, and operational transformation in highly regulated environments.
Brian holds an MBA from Campbell University and a BS in Zoology from North Carolina State University.
