Wendy DiCicco
Chief Financial Officer
Wendy DiCicco joined Genetix in June 2025 as Chief Financial Officer, having participated in the successful acquisition and transformation of the company, formerly known as bluebird bio. In her role at Genetix, she also has responsibility for human resources, legal and compliance, and information technology.
She has been in the life sciences industry for over 30 years. Having held executive- and board-level leadership roles across a range of public and private organizations, from start-ups to global commercial entities, Wendy has a broad perspective of entity infrastructure and dynamics. Prior to Genetix, for almost 10 years Wendy served as an independent financial and board advisor to companies in the life sciences industry, often serving in the role of interim Chief Financial Officer. Wendy held executive roles including CFO of Renovacor, FerGene, Nuron Biotech, Globus Medical and Kensey Nash Corporation, CFO & COO of Centinel Spine, and President & COO of Camber Spine. Wendy began her career at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Wendy currently serves on the boards of public and private companies, including EyePoint, Inc. and Imvax. She previously served on several additional boards, primarily life sciences, including SWK Holdings Corp, Sincerus Pharmaceuticals, ExpressCells, II-VI, Inc. (now Coherent), Carmell Therapeutics, Syncardia Systems, and CannaPharma Rx. Additionally, she served on the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Philadelphia Chapter for eight years and holds a fellowship in Board Leadership from the NACD.
Wendy is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Textile & Science (now Kanbar College of Design, Engineering & Commerce at Jefferson).
